It can be very hard to find creditable information and sources to aid people today. I believe using a book for helping us with our business plan will provide us with double the information any article could. The book I choose to pick for my business plan preparation was The Ernst & Young Business Plan Guide. There are two main parts to the book. The first parts talks about the basic characteristics of a business plan. The book starts off by defining a business plan and telling what it is used for. Some of the information helped me better understand what we are looking to produce with a business plan. The second part of the book talks about each part of the business plan in good detail. The biggest advantage of this book is the second part, because this is where the business plan is broken apart into its different components. Marketing, operational, and financial plans all have their own chapters to be discussed. The book gives various examples and descriptions in each section to get across the point. Having each part of the business plan discussed in such detail will give us a pretty good idea of what we are intending to do. This book has proven to be useful in describing the marketing plan and could be very useful aiding our group in creating our own section for class. My source is an actual book that is a couple hundred pages long. I believe a source like this has enough information available to be very helpful.
