Considering I have never written a business plan before, this book gets right to the point on the first page. It dose not give you a long flowery, instead it tells you flat out "Without a business plan, you don't know where you're going, and you can't measure your progress." The book I am recomending is called The Succesful Business Plan: Secrets & Strategies by Rhonda Abrams.

In her book she covers the process and the compentents necessary for a great business plan. The reader treats you as if you are new to the industry, but she also offers many practical tips even for the experts. The features I appreciate the most are how she applies real world examples to theoretical concepts. She also asks you some insightful questions so you can tailor your business plan specifically to your market. The overall layout of the book is also helpful because the pages are not cluttered with bullet points.

I liked her book more than the other that I have seen because she goes into more detail. Some books just focus on theory or just give you a broad overview of the concepts while she gives you great detail about each step. And it also goes into some of the basically physciology you can expect to encounter in the real world such as knowing how to set realistic expectations.
