Suggestions on the Marketing A&S

What are some of the features that you liked in the document?
The Layout is beautiful. I think there should be less spacing from one page to another; you can fill in the spaces with pictures and graphs. The logo looks professional. I liked the specific title of the magazines you’re going to be using. Good headers make it easy to find what you’re looking for.

What are some of the features that you did not like in the document?
You should keep the spacing consistent throughout the document. Single space the bullet point lists. The logo is a little small. You talked about talk shows and boutiques, but you did not mention any specific examples. Tell us which jewelry companies you are going to form a partnership with and how will they advertise your product? Will they hand out a brochure? Or will someone be available to talk to the customers in the store first hand? Maybe perhaps a commercial running inside the store if they have a television showing off their products?

What are some of the features that you would like to see in this document?
I would have liked to seen more graphs especially under “future marketing trends”. How much money are you going to make? How many people will buy your product; maybe a pie graph of the different age groups or classes? A map would have been nice especially if you plan to have global locations in other countries. I would like to see a mock up picture of the product. Maybe take a picture of car keys and add on the small device behind it.

Is there currently anything that is unclear in the document?
You list how you’re going to advertise, but how much money will all of this cost? How much will it cost to rent space in a mall or magazine space? Which choices is the most economical and which choices will you go with for the marketing strategy? Why did you pick the strategy? You also talked about marketing to people with over $250 and said it was part psychology – which theory is that from? Cite your sources.

What services would you prefer from a company like us?
Are you guys going to have the product in their stores or will the customer have to call you? I would suggest jewelry retail stores already have a stock of your item already in the store and someone on the staff to install them before the customer walks out the door. What about gifts? Could a retailer install them on gifts and then deliver them through the mail with the remote and everything?

Which marketing strategy appealed to you the most and why?
I like the idea of tying it up in production because some people may choose to buy certain laptops just because they can have this service included. I think the best way to get your product out there is to form partnerships with top companies so they can help exposes others to this new technology.

What are your comments about the logo?
The logo could be a bit bigger and the blue on the “it” could be a bit lighter so it can stand out more. Match the color of the “it” to the color of your text. And put “FoundIT Technologies” right under the logo. These are just some of my opinions.

Do you feel our marketing strategy would work?
I need more details about the budget and the specific retail stores you guys are going to partner with. I think it defiantly has a potential to be successful.

What are your comments about the pre-faces we added?
Looks good and professional just cite the sources for things like the psychology theory.

Here are the brief answers to your questions:

  1. 1.     What are some of the features that you liked in the document?
  2. The document is visually appealing.
  3.
  4. 2.     What are some of the features that you did not like in the document?
  5. The document is very brief and does not show depth in research.
  6.
  7. 3.     What are some of the features that you would like to see in this document?
  8. Like I said earlier, I would love to see more depth in the market research
  9.
  10. 4.     Is there currently anything that is unclear in the document?
  11. Everything since the document is incomplete.
  12.
  13. 5.     What services would you prefer from a company like us?
  14. The company should be able to diversify itself and take advantage all the changes that happen in this industry.
  15.
  16. 6.     Which marketing strategy appealed to you the most and why?
  17. Though this particular strategy is quite obvious considering the kind of product you are selling, I feel that integrating your product with products from other companies is a good strategy.
  18.
  19. 7.     What are your comments about the logo?
  20. The logo looks professional. But at the same time, it is quite plain and could look better with relevant graphics added to it.
  21.
  22. 8.     Do you feel our marketing strategy would work?
  23. I strongly feel that companies can make their own tracking devices and setup their own tracking system. Then, why should an investor buy such a strategy? You need to think along those lines.
  24. My point is that your company needs to have a very good competitive advantage in order to survive out in the market.
  25.
  26. 9.     What are your comments about the pre-faces we added?
  27. The prefaces add a fresh perspective to how a market strategy and analysis document shouldn’t dive into the details and for a change, begin with a bird’s eye view of your document.
