Luntz

In the market a & s of Tree House they used a lot of the rules that Luntz has pointed out.  They don't use many long irregular words.  They make it so everyone can read it and understand it very clearly.  They use statistical proof that everyone can understand and use pie charts that are easy to see the data they wanted you to see.  Their credibility is pretty impressing seeing that they have gotten some great quotes and used them to their full potential.  They described the quotes and made them so that you could understand why they used it they way they did.  I believe the sound and texture of the marketing analysis and strategy is good, the words flow and stick in your mind instead of just reading it, forgetting it and moving on.  It actually provides you with the wanting to attain the knowledge.  I love how they use a bunch of statistical figures to prove their points because when I read a long paper I space out and don't remember what i just read so when they put out a stat like they do it makes me think more.  When they use charts it helps me better visualize what they said in the paragraph becuase it makes me stop and look at the graph and analyze it.  That is what Luntz was conveying in rule number 10, they give stats then they explain or they show you a graph, then they show the relevance of it.  This was a great market analysis and strategy and gave me great ideas that will help my team and I.

Not all ten!

I agree that Treehouse has done a good job with their Market analysis and strategy document. However, I don't think they were able to follow all ten rules. I believe that the document had a lot of research and work, however it does not blow your mind. I can see the hardwork, but what about the novelty aspect. I do agree that the document shows partial novelty.

However, I must say that they have gone to great lengths in order to have almost everything in the document that an investor would need to know about. Most of the analysis and strategy is worded well and covers many aspects of the relevant market.

They even had surveys that added a lot of flavor to their document.

I agree

This was a great marketing analysis as the whole thing followed the ten rules extremely well. I agree with you how the analysis flowed extremely well. I also agree with their use of statistics. They do a great job of showing the graphs and telling the reader why these graphs are important or relevant to their report. The rules of luntz are very important rules to follow and they did this very well.

agreed

I completely agree with what Paresh said. He pretty much read my mind on this one. One thing I want to point out is the fact that you have to be cautious on how you use the 10 rules within your analisys. No matter how many rulkes you use. Just make sure that your audience is listening and that you done loose them. I think that even with the most convincing analysis. If you dont put it in their "language", they wll eventually zone off and change the channel on you. Other than that, good analysis!

Completely agree with what is

Completely agree with what is stated here. The treehouse Market Analysis and Strategy has the ability to stand out specifically due to the credibility involved in the document. the graphics add a wonderful touch to the document and is something that I have attempted to incorporate into our Analysis and Strategy. Consistency is another element I felt that has been incorporated well into the document. However, I do feel that they lack in novelty. very good analysis though!
