I think my presentation today was a little rough, but not bad overall. I was a little worried about presenting the needed information on the product. I left out parts about what I need funding for, and if I have a solid team to help with the execution of my plan. My plan of attack was to introduce myself and then introduce my business idea. I then wanted to help my audience visualize my product by putting them in the actual picture frame it will be used. I wanted to point out specifics, for example, digital images and organization levels which make my product better than other similar ones. I feel I presented good information despite the times I got a little tongue tied and tripped over my words.
I used the Digital Menu because it was a product my group used in a class last year for an entrepreneurial project. The idea came to me from the BWW game screens that they have in their restaurants. I thought having a technologically advanced menu style would stand out to customers and the ability to play games and interact with the device makes it even better. Microsoft just started to develop a product similar to this over the summer so I also found that interesting. I started my pitch off with the introductions and then went right into introducing my product. I thought it was important to explain how my product would be organized by categories and show pictures of individual items so I mentioned that at the beginning. Talking about how the direct order to the kitchen will increase efficiency on preparation was also another key mention to show my competitive advantages. I added the part about servers being more open to customer needs now that they do not take orders because this should add appeal to restaurant owners.
