Rhetorical Choices

To start off, I definitely was unprepared to give a presentation with no aid such as a note card or piece of paper. Everything I said was what popped into my head at the moment and seemed to be the right time to say it. I tried to give a good explanation of my idea by being simple. I felt there was no need to get indepth, just tell the basic idea and that would be enough. I wanted to explain more about the city of Amsterdam, being a beautiful dutch city that is filled with thousands of similar looking bicycles. I also wanted to talk about the success of other unique-ifying companies such as West Coast Customs (Pimp my Ride) and various famous tattoo parlors... succeeding because they do something that makes other people stand out and be unique. I basically didnt want to go over my audiences head with my idea, just say it simply and hopefully that would be enough. Had I prepared more and been less nervous I think I could have prepared a better, more effective speech.
