There are many skills that an entrepreneur can put to use. But, quite frankly there are no specific skills that you must have because of the mere fact that entrepreneurship cannot be taught. This is of course coming from an article I read on Buisness Week.com.

The article lists some skills that an entrepreneur should have but the author clearly highlights the fact that entrepreneurship is learned on your own and not everyone will be able to do it.

So, out of the many skills that I could point out, I chose the ones that I thought were the most important. So here is my list:

In order to be a succesfull entrepreneur you must have certain qualities to beat out your competition. If not you must find someone that has the neccesary skills you are missing out on to partner with. Here is my list of skills you or your partners in bussiness must have in order to beat out your competition.

3. Willingness to acknowledge you need help in certain areas and the drive to find it

4. The ability to maintain your focus on the task at hand

5. Willingness to accept change in your field

The reason I put ten years in the title, is because I was once told that 50% of businesses fail in the first five years, then another 50% in the next five years after that.

Though I do not believe that you can say any set of skills are necessary to be an entrepreneur, I believe that the list below of skills and traits could be incredibly helpful and any entrepreneur should strive to encorporate them all.
