Luntz's 10 Rules
Luntz's ten rules are to use small words, use short sentences, credibility is as important as philosophy, consistency matters, novelty, sound and texture matter, speak aspirationally, visualize, ask a question, and provide context and explain relevance. These are all important in creating an effective and efficient document. People need something that they can understand, and something that they can understand can be shown by all of these ten rules. My favorite business plan is the one for PimpMyDorm.com. I like it because of its simplicity. Simplicity is somet
Do you have an Ethical Vision?
In the article, there are many ethical considerations that are brought up. They talk a lot about the pictures and graphs. These are more blatant ethical issues. The photographers edit the photos to show what they want the reader to see. In the beginning they say that we learn 75% of what we learn each day from visuals. If photographers change the picture, that changes our views. This is also the case with graphs. Some graphs are portray as the numbers change more than they actually do. They do this by not starting at zero and instead starting
Make your business plan successful with this book!
The book I chose, which is called Your First Business Plan: A Simple Question and Answer Format designed to Help You Write Your Own Business Plan, can be found at Borders Book store. I don't like this job ad at all. It gives no information, not even a contact name or contact title. It justs gives information about the job title, where the job would be, and information about qualifications and compensation.

As a double major and a double minor, sometimes I find that it is very difficult to write an objective statement. There are a lot of areas of business I am interested in. I have to choose a direction to take. I think that it would be a good idea to show a little bit of what experience I have and what I am really interested in. I like the mission statement idea they were talking about. It is all about what you wa
That got my Attention!!
There were about eight ideas that I really liked. Obviously, I could not choose them all. First of all, I narrowed down the pitches to the ones that I liked, the ones that I thought would really work. After that, I focused on their presentation style. They had to be confident about their idea and know what they were talking about. You can tell whether or not they know their stuff based on not only the information they presented, but also their tone of voice. If they pause or mess up a little bit, I see an uncertainness in themselves about their product.&n
Presentation is all about the choices you make
My presentation did not go the way I had planned it. Typically when I give a presentation, I make an outline of things I want to say. This time I elected to write out exactly what I wanted to say, and it did not go that way. So I am going to talk about what I planned on saying. First of all, I wore a Purdue student. I planned it this way because I wanted to portray that I am part of my target market.
