What aspects stood out?

The formating on the 5 resumes I chose stood out the most. All 5 were represented the standard I regularly see.

Why did you choose the 5 you did?

The Skeptical Resume Reader

After reading the "The Skeptical Resume Reader" I reviewed my resume I created freshman year of college, then the one I created my junior year. I saw a significant difference, but the more recent resume still lacked the qualifications expected by Douglas Richardson. The classes I took that specifically targeted resume creation only covered a few basic principles, how it should look and what categories it should include. After reading the article I have gained much more insight on what a good resume should consist of.

Business Idea Pitch Review

After watching the video of my video idea pitch I recognized some weaknesses in my presentation. I chose to begin the pitch with a questions that addressed a problem that college students seem to have, I then presented a solution to that problem. I thought I throughly presented my business idea, but after reviewing the video that was taken of my pitch I found many areas that should work on. I definately fell short on some the key aspects of the pitch such as how I was going to earn revenue from the business idea.

Pitches in class

The idea I voted for was the air taxi. Tim, was concise with his presentation and I fully understood what his business was about. The business was idea also very feasible and with his background and knowlegde of the industry his idea can easily become reality. He presented the information he had well and convinced me that his idea was the besty choice.

The Role of Writing and Persuasion

Writing and persuasion are vital tools needed to become a successful enterpreneur. Being able to write effectively allows better communication between the entrepreneur and prospective investors. The ability to clearly state your goals for your company can give the entrepreneur an advantage over any competition he/she may encounter.

Business Writing Intro

My name is Adrian Clark, I am currently pursuing a major in economics as well as earning a minor in marketing. Some of my goals in life are to earn a master's degree in marketing and start my own company. I hope to move to San Diego, California where I will earn the master's degree after I graduate. What I hope to gain from this course is to develop my writing skills, work better with others, and develop better anylitical skills.
