Rules of Luntz
Luntz's 10 rules are applicable to many business plans that my group and I looked over. One rule that I thought was evident in most business plans was Rule Two: Use Short Sentences. Short sentences have more of an impact especially to an average reader. You could go on and on about how your will excel with various statistics, but what people will be more likely to remember a small phrase, like "Your bills will go down by billions." Phrases that are catchy, rhyming, or just bring a great point up in a few words will be much more sufficient th
Ethics and Visual Rhetorics
The article is trying to bring to light that seeing is not believing. With 75 percent of information we receive being visual, we need to be able to understand what percent of that is ethical. The article exlains how the selection, emphasis, and framing of what we see will influence our ethical decisions about it. The article also shows various graphs and how people interpret them differently. One graph shown appeared to be tripling over 5 years when really it had only gone up about 6.4%. The way graphs are presenter the the viewer at times
Resume reviews
I would hire 5 of these people to work for me. The first I would hire is Nikki Sticks because he has a good objective statement and good work experience. I would also hire Dorothy J. Flyfaster because she has a strong work experience and made the Dean's List at Purdue multiple times. Thirdly Student Halfway would be another hire for me. Although he doesn't have an objective statement, his professional experience and extracurricular activites are interesting to me. Another person I would hire would be Peter A.
Pitch
After watching myself on video, I realized some things that I did well and others that I could do better. Also I think I could improved on not looking away, which I did several times when I was searching for the correct thing to say.
New Resume Point of View
This article definitaly changed how I feel about writing a resume. To be honest, it scared me a little bit because I really need to step-up my resume. The "Skeptical Resume Reader" would probably spit on my resume, and laugh about it with his collegues. It's hard to put great things onto a resume when you only have so much, so sometimes its hard to follow his logic at times. He is a hard critic for sure. He only gives a 40 second scan of peoples resumes, and throws them out if he doesn't like them, having never met the person hes essen

The Role of Writing and Persuasion
The role of writing and persuasion plays an essential part when trying to get your point across. Entrepreneurs must use persuasion in their lives because they are often trying to convince someone that their idea or business plan is good. The writing that these entrepreneurs participate in on daily reports or business plans must also be somewhat persuasive depending on the what the topic is. So entrepreneurs must be well eduacated in both writing and persuasion to be successfull leaders.

Greg's Introductory Blog
My name is Gregory Watson, but I go by Greg. I'm currently a junior at Purdue, and I am in the process of CODOing into the OLS major. I am also currently enrolled in Entrepreneurship 200, which I think might help a lot in this course. I expect this course to be somewhat challenging with a good amount of work. I'm up to the task to do the best I can in this class, and I am interested to see how it goes.
