Persuasive writing plays an critical role in entreprenuership. In fact, funding is directly affected by one's persuasive ability (whether written or verbal) in two major ways-
1. If your business scope/pitch/plan or any document of the sort is lacking persuasive content, you will lose out on funding from investors.
and
2. If you can't write or act persuasively, you're going to have to pay someone to do it for you.

I like the second idea that you presented.
". . .have to pay someone to do it for you."
That really puts it into perspective when talking about dollars and cents.
I agree. As entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs I think we all would rather do something ourselves for free than to pay someone else to do it. We can all agree that having these skills is really important to success in a new business and if we can carry out those tasks ourselves we can save ourselves money and know exactly the degree of work we are getting since we are doing it ourselves.
