The role of rhetoric in terms of speaking and writing is essential to an entrepreneur. The reading mentioned Gorgias who is known as the father of impromptu speaking. Plato outlines the importance of speech with these three criteria: organization, style and delivery. The practice of delivering a clear, concise and catching message is vital in the entrepreneurial world.
In my past classes we have talked about “branding” oneself. This includes areas such as leadership, physical appearance and professional relations. In a sense, an entrepreneur is selling him/herself. The skill of professionally communicating through speech and writing can go a long way in the field of entrepreneurship. I hope to further develop my skills in the area of effectively communicating and actively persuading my audience.

"The practice of delivering a clear, concise and catching message is vital in the entrepreneurial world."
