Rhetorical Choices

I chose to present the information on the Air Taxi proposal because I had a true passion that an air taxi service would be profitable and successful in the Midwest region. I organized it so I would introduce the business first informing the listeners about what an air taxi service truly would be.  Many people do not know how an air taxi service would operate so I felt it was important that the listeners understand what air taxi is about before I continued any further.  Then I followed up with information regarding my main target market and who my customers would be. I then followed it up by indicating how we will have Purdue University as a joint venture partner for this company.  I wanted to conclude with more information regarding my competition.

I planned it out with research so I could have some numbers as proof that Chicago to New York could be a profitable and busy route for passengers. I felt its always important that  numbers are provided to give statistical proof that this business can be profitable.

I felt that it was essential that I ended the pitch with a request that I can return to present a much more extensive proposal presentation.

Overall I thought that your presentation was the best because of how well organized, researched, and professional your idea pitch was. I also picked your because of my interest in aviation as well aside from my accounting/finance degree here at purdue. I plan to attend either the Marines or Air Force to gain my officer title to eventually fly someday. With this said I voted your pitch as #1 because if my idea is to not be picked as part of the classes top 5 I'd like to work under your wing (pun intended). The reason behind this is because I see great potential for success in this type of business because I myself actually have aspirations of the like except possibly as a helicopter taxi service (either a fixed wing or helicopter service would suffice for me in real life its just pending on what I'd be flying in the service).
