English 421: Technical Writing

I'm not sure if we are all supposed to have our own individual "Final" project logs but it can't hurt I suppose.  Well this week we presented our usability multimedia project and all went well, we could add a few more images in there (which I think that Andrew actually took care of) but we are just editing up a few things before the untimely and unfortunate end of English 421 as we know it.  I did a few handstands and stretches today to be ready for Scotty's... that is all!

Documentation Usability Tips

A Recipe for designing usable documentation

This week we created personas for the usability project and will be tailoring the writing for our usability analysis to speak to these two personas. We have not yet received the answers to the questions that we posed to the Flex Adventures company so we can not yet continue with that project but we have received back our white paper rough draft. We will revise this draft and correct grammatical inconsistencies and work on citing our sources within the documentation.  Also we will work to correct aesthetics within the document by making the images more visible. 

For this week we typed up questions to ask Flex Adventures regarding how they plan on utilizing Planzone. We will we be asking questions to better understand how we should tailor our technical white writing for their usage.  Our questions reflected our interest in; their skill level, the features that they will most utilize, and how they previously planned projects. 

 Ten Future Web Trends

 This week I worked on my page of the white paper project rough draft. It went very well and I feel like I wrote extraordinarily well and people will really know great, amazing, beautiful things about actionize and planzone document and resource sharing. Oh what a glorious day.  The rough draft segments were put together and submitted on wednesday for the thursday submission deadline.
