English 421: Technical Writing

This past week I helped my group to complete the multimedia project.  The group met together this past Monday to do the multimedia project.  I transfered all of the information about the files tab, in the usability documentation to the multimedia powerpoint.  In class on Tuesday I helped present the Files tab section of the powerpoint presentation.  Then as a group we decided that all that needed to be changed in the powerpoint was the background, because it was too plain.

This last week me and my group did not do very much.  As a group we decided to get together Monday evening to get the Multimedia assignment completed.  On Thursday we were more focused on the test we had in the next class period and did not get much done during the class period.  We talked a little about how we wanted to format the presentation but did not get very far into the design process.

This past week I helped my group finish up the white paper project.  I also helped to finish up the rough draft of the usability project.  I did the section on the file tab for the usability project.  The file tab was part of office zilla and it was where files were uploaded and accessed.  After both papers were finished they were turned in.

This last week I helped my group create the usability instructions.  Which turned out rather difficult because the answers we recieved from the "Pimp my dorm" group were not helpful in determining the program that would suite their needs best.  It basically ended up that we chose to do office zilla for the usability instructions.  The instructions are general and describe applications that an average person might want to use.  Unfortunately, we didn't get very far with it when class ended on Thursday.  It took us most of the class period to determine what

Okay, since I have kept forgetting to do this during the weekend I'm making sure to do it while it is still on my mind.  This week I helped my group come up with the usuability test plan for the company that has been assigned to us.  Our group decided on submitting two sets of questions to the company in order to first determine which application best suites there needs and second to test the usability of the chosen application.

This week I turned in my personal rough draft on Tuesday.  On wednesday I helped my group edit the annotated bibliography so that met the specifications required for it.  Our first draft of the annotated bib. did not have enough detail on our sources.  Also on Wednesday I helped my group add my portion of the white paper to the whole white paper.  Our group also finished putting together a rough draft of the white paper on Wednesday.  On Thursday we turned in our white paper.
