English 421: Technical Writing

For the last week, we presented the multimedia project in class.  We put together the powerpoint the previous day before the presentation. We made very few changes after the presentation, only adding a background to the project.

The article that I found is a very good example of technical writing, as well as how to write technical articles.

This article is a short example of a technical article for an amplifier.  The writer gives a short and sweet summary of a 4 channel amplifier.  He goes over the details of different options on how to set up the amplifier to get different outputs and how the controls on the amplifier allow for easy adjustment after it is installed.

With busy schedules and the technology of today, sometimes it is just easier to do things online.  Responding online versus responding in person has is benefits and draw backs.  The benefit of it is that there is no time conflicts and it is just easier to do.  The person responding can take their time and formulate a good response in order to get the most benefit of it.  One major drawback is that it is hard to make responses seem genuine.  Without the benefit of hearing the person responding and hearing the inflection of their voice, or the gestures they make, some

This article is a somewhat good example of what a technical writer does.  The article's topic is about the differences between lcd tvs and plasma tvs.  The writer gives the pros and cons of each type versus the other type.  This article could help consumers decide what tv they would like to buy or which tvs are better for a cuxtomer or project.
