Writing a Resume Cover Letter That Shines

I chose this article because it is relevant and hopefully helpful to our employment project.  This article is very good because it tells the importance of the cover letter and tells how employers evaluate applicants for a job.  A lot of employers don't even look at resume's until they have sorted through all of the applicants cover letters.  This makes a shorter list of applicants and makes it easier on the employer to make a decision.  This means that your resume is useless unless you write a good enough cover letter for it to be even looked at. 

Knowing the importance of the cover letter will help us in writing one that will hopefully get us the jobs we are applying for.  I have actually had an interview for a job that I wasn't fully qualified for just because my cover letter was good.  I didn't get the job, but it was still a valuable experience.  I wasn't aware of how important they were until this happened to me.
