English 421: Technical Writing

The purpose of the ship building in class was to promote teamwork. We are all working in groups for the white paper project and this exercise helped by making us work together to assemble the ship. The ship building also applied to the white paper project because it made us assemble the instructions in an order we could use to assemble the ship. This deals with class because as technical writing is concerned we need to take all the information we have and assemble it into an easy to follow order. This also appears to be a metaphor for writing in general, because we have many parts that need to be assembled into one whole model and when writing a paper you have a lot of information that needs to be assembled together in order to create a good document.
