With the recent election, a lot of people are excited about how the process works.  They are also usually confused about why the president is picked by the electoral college and not by the popular vote.  This article goes into detail about how the electoral process works.  This article goes into the history of the electoral college, how the electors are selected, how the electoral votes are distributed, and the big debate over the electoral vote

This article does a good job of explaining all the processes to a rather complicated or what seems complicated system.  By separating the topics by pages the reader is not overwhelmed with information.  Overall I'd call this a pretty good technical article about the electoral college, even though most will never understand it.
