English 421: Technical Writing

As we went into last week, class was cancelled on Tuesday, so nothing for that day.  But as we got to Thursday, we began to learn about and set up our usability test, and wrote memos to our repsective group in the other class.  The purpose was to gain a better understanding of how they will use the technology that we are presenting to them, and for us to gain feedback on how to tailor the white paper to suit their needs.  (We also happened to take a quiz on the reading at the beginning of class, which anyone who read it a week prior forgot by that time).  We also tested Skype a little bit more in anticipation of usability needs from the other group.  We wanted to be prepared to answer some possible questions before they were even able to ask us.  Also, we checked on each other's status for the white paper rough draft, and once we receive the original back, we can implement our changes and any others that will be needed.
