English 421: Technical Writing

Okay, so this article doesn't really have that much to do with what we're doing right now. By a stretch, it might have something to do with the white paper, because it pretty much breaks down a slightly technical topic so that average Joe and comprehend. Basically, it's the only thing I can find that's relevant to anything going on in my life right now.

The basic idea of the article is splitting laptops into four basic types and harping on the advantages and disadvantages of each. I thought the article was pretty informative, because I had only heard of such categories in brief, but never defined formally and compared side-by-side with the other categories. I had just gotten a new laptop on Black Friday because my old one was making lots of weird noises, the DVD drive was shot to hell on day one (and the warranty didn't cover it for some goddamn reason), and the battery was capable of supporting the computer for only five minutes (literally). I came upon that article and thought "hey, this would be good for my ENGL 421 blog". So there you have it.
