He shoots a buzzer beater

The article that I found is a very good example of technical writing, as well as how to write technical articles.

www.cs.columbia.edu/~hgs/etc/writing-style.html

The article in itself is a good example of a technical article.  The author breaks down the how to's of writing technical articles from start to finish.  The article covers the different kinds of research papers to things to avoid while writing a technical article.  The author does an excellent job of covereing the details of every section of the paper.

Starting with the title of the paper, the author discusses avoiding different popular styles of starting paragraph and words.  The next detailed section of the article covers the abstract of the paper, which is the summary of the article.  This section also includes many common mistakes that should be avoided.  Following the abstract section, the introduction section is explained.  A good example of an introduction that should be avoided and one that should be modeled after are given in the section.

The body of technical articles is not discussed within the article itself, but a link is given that discusses common writing mistakes that are usually within the body of papers.

The next section that the author discusses is the bibliography, which once again has common errors that should be avoided when writing.  In the bibliography, the writer cites where the information covered in the body of the article was found, as well as lists the authors and web adresses of any other material used.

The rest of the article covers advanced items such as acknowledgements, entering equations and numerical results, another list of things to avoid when writing, and a guideline for writing experimental papers.
