The reason this article was chosen is because it is about technical writing, and gives a detailed outline of what should happen and what should not happen.  This comes from a very credible source.  The source is from Columbia University.  I believe that at the beginning of this class if there was a very good outline of the do’s and don’ts for writing technical articles it may have been easier to grasp the material easier. That is what this article gives us.  This article gives a substantial amount of suggestions for writing certain parts of research and technical articles.

For example in the article starts with a general outline and an explanation of what each section of the paper should be.  Then it goes on later to break down each of the sections in great detail and gives suggestions on how the work can be improved.

There are some downfalls to this article.  These could be that they are only specific to research papers and technical articles.  The employment project was a completely different spin on technical writing.  This would entail a new article that went over those specifications.

This article has multiple links linking several different websites together.  These websites are other references that this university used to put together this article or it is a link to another website that is quite helpful pertaining to the name of the link.

To finish the reason that I chose this article is because it explains several different ways and the guidelines that should be followed while writing technical articles.
