week 11
Project Log of Week 11
After the the deadline of the white paper was pushed back, our group (Jagerbombers) spent some time polishing up our paper and adding visuals. We got together in class and discussed how we can "sell" our collaboration application to the groups in Cat's other class. We typed up our memo to Drive-Thru Marketing to show the things they could do using Sosius.

Project Log Week 11
For this week we typed up questions to ask Flex Adventures regarding how they plan on utilizing Planzone. We will we be asking questions to better understand how we should tailor our technical white writing for their usage. Our questions reflected our interest in; their skill level, the features that they will most utilize, and how they previously planned projects.
Does anyone have time to read these?

Yes it has some flaws (big ones in my opinion) but this article gives you some reasons why it is the way that it is.

Stelzner suggests three steps to become an effective white paper writer. First, look at other white papers and observe what the authors do. What tricks do they use to communicate effectively? Second, write a white paper. Sometimes the most effective way to learn is by doing. Finally, sell a white pap
War in Iraq started by a white paper
With today being election day, I decided to find an article dealing with technical writing on politics. This article describes how the Bush administration may have doctored or altered a white paper providing extra incentive to invade Iraq. Apparently the White House wrote the white paper justifying the invasion several months before the full intelligence report had been compiled.
