English 421: Technical Writing

For my final project log, our group presented our multimedia project and has finished all of the required material for this class.  Most of the content for the project log is shown in last weeks log, because there was nothing new since then.

For week 14, I believe that week counted as Thanksgiving break, so there was no group activity.  For week 15, our group decided that we would meet on Monday the 8th to make a powerpoint for our multimedia project. 

This week our group finished up the final draft for the white paper project.  We also wrote the rough draft for the usability project.  I was in charge of help with the finishing touches for the white paper project.  Greg reworked the formatting of the figures while I made sure numbers of figures and the wording was correct.  For the usability project, I wrote one of the sections and had everyone else e-mail their sections to me.  I then put all of the sections together.

For this week, our group did not do very much with regard to our project.  We collaborated a little about the usability project, but we are planning to work on it in class tuesday. 

For the white paper project, our group wrote up the questions for the usability test. This was done on Thursday during class.  We have turned our first set of questions.  We will send another round of questions once the first set is returned.  This is because we have two Web2.0 applications and the first set will decide which application will be used.  We want to have them use the application that will help them more.

Okay, since I have kept forgetting to do this during the weekend I'm making sure to do it while it is still on my mind.  This week I helped my group come up with the usuability test plan for the company that has been assigned to us.  Our group decided on submitting two sets of questions to the company in order to first determine which application best suites there needs and second to test the usability of the chosen application.

Last week i turned in my individual white paper portion for OfficeZilla on tuesday. Since this is a group effort i got with the group on wednesday to fix the annotated bib and assemble the white paper.  Thursday the collaborative white paper was turned in for review. 

This week I turned worked on my section of the rough draft and it was turned in on tuesday.  In class tuesday, Josh and I took our two rough drafts and combined them into one larger draft.  This was because we split up ididwork.com.  We had to make sure the wording was the same and the pictures were roughly the same size.  Wednesday night, our group met to put together the entire rough draft and fix our annotated bibliography.  I wrote the conclusion to the rough draft as well as help bring the two websites together.  We turned in our complete rough draft on th

This week I turned in my personal rough draft on Tuesday.  On wednesday I helped my group edit the annotated bibliography so that met the specifications required for it.  Our first draft of the annotated bib. did not have enough detail on our sources.  Also on Wednesday I helped my group add my portion of the white paper to the whole white paper.  Our group also finished putting together a rough draft of the white paper on Wednesday.  On Thursday we turned in our white paper.
