• Discuss cover letters.

For Next Time:

• Using the Peer Review of Resumes worksheet in the Employment Project section, submit two peer reviews of fellow students' resumes. Post these as comments to their blog post.
• Read Richard Straub's  "Responding--Really Responding--to Other Students' Writing"
• Post a reading response to Straub. Think about what you have just read when compared with previous experince giving and receiving response in and outside of class.  What strategies--those from the text or strategies of your own--do you feel are important for (a) responding in this class and (b) responding to other's writing in the workplace.
• No later than 5pm on Wednesday, submit an article related to technical writing or the employment project.  Post your article as a blog entry, providing either a link to the article or a pdf version.  Your blog entry should also contain a two paragraph summary/critique of the article.

Thursday, September 11

• Continued discussion of cover letters.
• Discussion of student-contributed articles.

• Cover letter draft due by 5pm on Monday
